The face behind sweet pixie nails

You asked! So here I am, Pam. I’m the face behind Sweet Pixie Nails.
I’ve had a few people message me wanting to know more about me. Soooo here it is…

I have the Lord in my heart along with my wonderful son and family. My son is amazing, incredably smart and wise. He is my inspiration.

I have unbelievably wonderful, supportive, & loving parents, two awesome sisters and their families who always have my back, and a large extended family of aunts/uncles/cousins and friends.

I started my nail education in College 2009 thinking I would start a business. But it just wasn’t the right time…I needed to focus on being a parent.

I spent the next ten years working a full-time job that I didn’t enjoy, & toying with the idea of a nail career. I tried a lot of different products, searching for a product that I felt confident was safe & healthy to use on my clients, and slowly buying furniture for my start-up..

In that time, I prayed a lot and found my way along side the Lord and my family…what a gift.

I practiced my craft a lot on myself, family and friends, while keeping myself trained and current on personal services health legislation/requirements. Finally, I found Light Elegance Products and completed their LE University training, achieving their Bachelor’s Degree. How exciting that was to achieve, and to join the LE Family!

After facing some personal life challenges in 2018 & 2019, I finally decided in January 2020 to get my business license and start my journey as a part-time nail artist and business owner. But as bad luck would have it…the month I received my business license, Covid-19 hit full force.

Over the year 2020, amidst so much world hardships, I was blessed and thankful to maintain good health for me and my family. I pray for those struggling and those who have lost loved ones to Covid-19, that they can stay strong, remember fond memories, and believe that we are blessed & things will get better.

With a need to keep looking forward on my nail journey, I found social media, a lot of awesome fellow nail artists, industry partners, the Le Family, and now I’m on my way to finding my happy one day at a time.

I’m trusting in the Lord, and searching for business opportunities that will take me in the direction I’m meant to go. I feel blessed and thankful to have everyone that I do.

The journey continues…

Blessing to you all,
Pam

Nail / Enhancement Care

After being pampered with a beautiful set of nails, its important to properly care for them.

Nail Enhancements are not damage-proof, so properly caring for them is important to maintaining a healthy, magically beautiful and lasting set of nails. The care you provide will determine how well your nails wear.

Here are some Nail Care Tips to help you maintain your beautiful nails:

1. Apply cuticle oil every night before bed to your nails and cuticles. This keeps your natural nails flexible. When your natural nails dry-out, they become rigid and start to pull away from the enhancements. This will cause chipping and lifting. Moisture will form between the nail and the enhancement eventually causing damage to your natural nails. Moisture is known to cause fungus.

2. Wear protective gloves when using cleaners/chemicals and when doing jobs that are rough on your nails. A trained eye can tell when there is damage beyond normal wear and tear. Any expressed guarantees on enhancements are during the course of normal wear and tear.

3. Don’t wear enhancements beyond the recommended length of time. Here at Sweet Pixie Nails we use the highest quality and safest enhancement products. However, all enhancement products are meant to be worn for a specific length of time. After that time they may begin to weaken and breakdown.

4. Don’t peel enhancements off the nails. When enhancements are peeled from the nails it also peels a layer of the natural nail causing damage to the natural nails. Book an appointment to have them safley removed and/or replaced with a new set.

5. Don’t trust your nails to just anyone. Here at Sweet Pixie Nails, we care about the health of our clients nails as well as the beauty. It is important to find one professional that you like to provide your nail services. This will avoid damage caused by non-professionals. Damage by the use of non-proffesionals are easily visible, and are not warranteed.
